SARASOTA, FL: Calling all Sarasota musicians and music enthusiasts. We invite you to come join us January 13th at Music Compound for the Musicians Table. This event will feature five Florida based independent artists. For one night only they will all be in the same place sharing their personalities, stories, and of course their music. This event will be extremely unique, as it features Florida’s more “Original Music Scene.” The event will take place at Music Compound, a local business devoted to teaching and sharing music with students of all ages. Attendees can look forward to meeting and greets with the artists, along with the opportunity to purchase their merchandise and receive autographs upon request. This is a bring your own beer/wine event, and local food trucks will provide food for purchase. Meet the Artists: Geri X: Singer-Songwriter of several music genres including folk, psychedelic rock, Americana, and post-rock. She is noted for being one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved artists. https://www.facebook.com/GeriXofficial/) Dean Johanesen: Singer-Songwriter with a focus on acoustic guitar. His music is described as American Roots & Circus Swing, giving Dean a unique sound. https://www.facebook.com/deanjohanesen/ Paul Fournier (WildRoot): Paul, Guitar, and Vocalist is the leader of the Wildroot band. They play a variety of music including Soul, R&B, Funk, Jazz and Rock music. (https://facebook.com/wildrootmusic/ Trevor Bystrom: Multi-Talented musician, singer, and songwriter. He plays both Weissenborn slide guitar, 12-string guitar, and an instrument he built himself called a ngoni. His music is very diverse and features new world sounds. https://www.facebook.com/trevorbystrommusic/ Steve Arvey is a local blues artist, who plays a variety of instruments including guitar, bass, and cigar box guitars. https://www.facebook.com/SteveArveyFanPage/ Paul Fornier, with Wildroot and the main orchestrator of this event, says “I'm really excited about this event because its one of the first ever singer-songwriter event that Music Compound has had. Plus, this event is being completely ran and managed by musicians. This will give Sarasota a chance to see the talent that lives and thrives all around them." This event, January 13th from 7-10 pm is presented by Wildroot, and PFM Productions, and is hosted by Steve Arvey.
