Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County will honor Dick Vitale, Sarasota Philanthropist and Sports Personality, and Todd Jones, Publix Super Markets’ CEO, at the 13th Annual Intertape Polymer Group Leadership Breakfast for their commitment to empowering local youth as future leaders. The event will take place on Friday, September 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club, located at 3100 Fruitville Road in Sarasota. “Intertape Polymer Group supports the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County as we believe that all young men and women deserve a chance to cultivate and reach their full potential,” states Greg Yull, President and CEO of IPG. “The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County represents a conduit of opportunity, leadership and talent, which are the fundamental building blocks for developing a strong, vibrant community in the twenty-first century.” All proceeds from the event will support teen leadership training programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County. “Both honorees have played an instrumental role in helping our organization provide the best opportunities for teens to plan for success after high school graduation,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County. “Whether they want to pursue a college degree, train for a career in the trades or even start their own business, our slate of award-winning programs help teens discover their passions, connect to meaningful causes in the community, build critical employability skills and explore a variety of career pathways.” Individual tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at bgcsarasota.com.
