All Faiths Food Bank announced today James Barton (Bart) Lowther as a new addition to their Board of Directors. In addition, Ben Hanan, Terri Vitale, and Elton White joined the Board in January of 2018. “Year after year I’m astounded at the level of experience we’re able to garner with our board of directors,” said CEO Sandra Frank. “We have a very strong leadership foundation in place and we couldn’t be more pleased with these outstanding new board members. The incredible professional backgrounds of each new appointment embody the spirit of community we hold dear at All Faiths.” James Barton (Bart) Lowther James Barton Lowther began working for Merrill Lynch in October 2010 after receiving a Finance degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Bart holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation awarded by the College for Financial Planning. Active within the community, Bart serves on the Board of Directors of both the Children’s Healthy Pantry and the Circus Arts Conservatory. Bart enjoys playing music, golf, pickleball, sporting clays, and hanging out with his dog, Beaux. Ben Hanan, JD, MBA, CPA Ben is Co-Chair of Shumaker Loop’s Management Committee and Managing Partner of the Sarasota office. He works in the trust and estate and corporate practice groups. Ben’s principal areas of practice include business and estate planning, and he counsels businesses and business owners on entity formation and funding, organizational and capital structure, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Ben is the Past Chairman of the Board of Gulf Coast Community Foundation and has served on the board of Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation, the Economic Development Foundation of Sarasota County and is the Founding Director of IMG Academies Student-Athlete Foundation. Terri Vitale, MBA Terri’s professional experience includes strategic media and marketing with Leo Burnett in Chicago. Her prior positions include Community and Public Relations Officer at Shand Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida. She currently serves on the boards of The Out of-Door Academy and the Community Foundation of Sarasota County where she chaired the Literacy Task Force and Two-Gen Initiative. Terri is also the president of the University of Notre Dame Monogram Club. Elton White, MBA Elton is a retired businessman with more than 40 years of experience. He was employed by NCR Corporation for 27 years where he served as President and Director, and has served on numerous corporate boards including Kohl’s and Verifone. Elton served on the Berea College Board of Trustees for 28 years and chaired the board for five years. He has previously served on the board of Gulf Coast Community Foundation where he chaired the Investment Committee. Elton and his wife, Gordie, were the 2015 recipients of the Schoenbaum Humanitarian Award.
