On the evening of Thursday, November 1st, over one hundred women of Laurel Oak Country Club came together in support of Girls Inc. of Sarasota County. Collectively this group of strong, smart, and bold women raised over $26,000 for local girls who benefit from the enriching and empowering programs offered at Girls Inc. The one-hour “girls just wanna have fun” cocktail party was electric — filled with laughter and friendship — as well as a few tears shed when Angie Stringer, Girls Inc. of Sarasota’s President and CEO, shared a video explaining the mission, vision, and the need of the agency. Yaegers Financial Services lead the way by being the event’s Lead Sponsor as well as food and beverage sponsors: Cassiariano Italian Eatery, Laurel Oak Country Club, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Johnson Brothers Wine & Spirits, and Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits. Gift Match Sponsors were: Kim Cornetet, Renee Fritsch, Maureen Higgins, Rita MacLure, Diane Mahan, Dianne Roberts, and Bonnie VanOverbake. Angie Stringer, Girls Inc. President & CEO said: “Girls Inc. is extremely appreciative of the strong, smart and bold woman of Laurel Oak who had the vision to create this successful event that will support us in raising the leaders of the future.” Girls Incorporated is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
