Tour of Private Gardens Saturday March 16th Sarasota is such a beautiful part of the world, and SO many private gardens are spectacular! ”Gardens in Paradise” is a unique opportunity to visit extraordinary private gardens tended by passionate gardeners. Each garden is lovingly chosen to show diversity immersed in the creativity, grandeur and passion that is gardening in Sarasota. Whether a secret garden behind a wall, a native meadow open to coastal water, or a courtyard plot in the urban landscape, you become inspired to create your own personal paradise! Agenda: Friday March 15 – Check SarasotaGardenClub.org for garden addresses, map and locations to begin your tour the next day. Saturday March 16 – Gardens in Paradise Tour – 9:30am to 4pm. Programs and wristbands will be available for pick up beginning at 8:30am at Sarasota Garden Club 1131 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota, FL, 34236. You may also go directly to any garden and buy and pick up your wristband & guide. Plan for and buy tickets for Lunch in the Garden –11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Sarasota Garden Club hosts a lunch! At the Sarasota Garden Club: Make your mark on a community painting! At one home on the tour: The owner is a Master Gardener with a Florida Friendly garden staffed by Master Gardeners highlighting a Florida-Friendly booth, literature, explanation of the garden & plan. At a cottage property on the tour: Come to an active orchid talk and potting demonstration in front of a fabulous bromeliad garden! In the afternoon, see exotic birds brought in to meet you. And at another: Find Music and Mabel Ringling strolling through the grounds and on the tour! There is beauty and fun at every garden on the stop. Sand sculpture! Botanical wall garden come to life!
