Smith Construction of Sarasota. All are welcome to attend. The Center, a purple building at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Dixie Avenue, has been providing food, personal hygiene items, and clothing to pre-registered clients for 33 years. “Our renovations include commercial refrigerators,” says Dr. April Glasco, CEO and founder of SCLO, “as well as a second floor for increased storage capacity of non-perishables. These improvements will enable us to serve more persons in need.” The new space is air-conditioned and will provide a weather-proof, safe environment for clients who must wait in line to receive their food and other items.
