The couple met in the bustling city of Chicago, blending their rich culinary heritages to lay the foundation for what would eventually become our beloved eatery. Joey D was born with Cockayne Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that typically limits life expectancy to just 12 years. Defying all odds, Joey lived to the age of 32, becoming the oldest known individual to thrive with the disease. His spirit and tenacity profoundly shaped our family's perspective and approach to life and business. Our mission at Joey D's is to celebrate and extend Joey's legacy through every dish we serve.
