Beneva Road in Sarasota, on Saturday, September 14, from 10am-2pm as Sarasota County Schools hosts its 4th Annual EdExploreSRQ ED-stravaganza. Open to public school teachers from Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties, this free, open house event is designed to give K-12 teachers a chance to learn about the field trips and in-class learning experiences local organizations and teaching artists have available during the 2019-2020 school year. In addition to dozens of exhibits, demonstrations and live performances going on throughout the day, representatives from Community Foundation of Sarasota County and Education Foundation of Sarasota County will be on hand to discuss grants available to public school teachers seeking to fund active learning experiences for their students. Sarasota County Schools’ grant specialist Amy Donner will be conducting grant writing workshops from 11am-1pm as well.
