This elegant and unforgettable evening is The Symphony’s biggest social event of the year and a major fundraiser for music education and scholarships. The Gala caps a weekend of sold-out concerts for The Venice Symphony, which opens its 46th season on Nov. 15, with “Bohemian Beethoven” at the Venice Performing Arts Center. The music will continue at the Gala as Venice Symphony musicians serenade guests during the cocktail hour and dinner. After a short program and live auction that will include a $10,000 Viking Cruise, the dance floor will open. Maestro Troy Quinn will lead the 24-piece Gala Orchestra, featuring Siki Kote, Charles Westley Lattimore, Jr., Henry Washington and Alyssa White, artists selected by Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe Founder and Artistic Director Nate Jacobs, for the event. Quinn’s program will include music from Swing, to Motown and Disco and a bit of “Uptown Funk.” Major sponsors of the Gala are the Edmund and Elizabeth Campbell Foundation and an anonymous donor.
