Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Charitable Foundation to Host 5th Annual Fundraiser 5th Annual Sporting Clays Event at Knight Trail Park to Benefit Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Employees Contact Name: Kim Noyes Contact Email: SCSOCharitableFoundation@gmail.com Contact Phone Number: 941.925.2970 On Friday, November 8, a couple of hundred Sporting Clays enthusiasts and supporters of local law enforcement will converge on Knight Trail Park in Nokomis for the 5th Annual Sporting Clays event to benefit the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation (SCSOCF). The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Charitable Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit Florida Corporation with 501(c)(3) status, was officially established in 2015 by a group of concerned business leaders who recognized that, despite the incalculable contribution law enforcement makes to our quality of life, the economic protection they receive is often inadequate in the face of extraordinary personal or family circumstances. The mission of the organization is to assist employees of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office who are experiencing catastrophe or extraordinary personal or family need. "Our complete focus is on those employees of the Sheriff's Office who are going through individual or family crises,” said Mike Quillen, Chair. To raise awareness of the Foundation, the SCSOCF hosts this annual fundraiser. "We are looking forward to hosting our only fundraising event to bring individual and corporate law enforcement supporters together and reinforce an annual tradition by which to support the Foundation. Every dollar contributed is put to work for Sheriff’s Office employees,” said Quillen. All donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. Check in and warm up begins at 8:30 a.m. following by a safety briefing, sporting clays competition and ending with catered lunch and awards. Purchase your individual spot or sponsorship today by going to www.scsocharitablefoundation.org or contact Kim Noyes, Foundation Administrator, at 941.925.2970 or scsocharitablefoundation@gmail.com. In addition to Quillen, the four-member Board of Directors consists of: Kelly Caldwell, Capt. Debra Kaspar, Peter Abbott and Anne Rollings. The Board is responsible for fund raising and approval of grant requests to benefit law enforcement. The Board serves on a non-paid, voluntary basis. Interested donors may send tax-deductible contributions to: Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Charitable Foundation, Inc., c/o Kim Noyes, 6120 S. Lockwood Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL 34231.
