Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County postpones 15th Annual Intertape Polymer Group Leadership Breakfast Contact Name: Sara Bealor Contact Email: sbealor@bgcsarasota.com Contact Phone Number: 941-366-3911 For the last 14 years, our community has come together every September at the annual Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) Leadership Breakfast to honor extraordinary trailblazers whose dedication to youth empowerment has resulted in greater opportunities for local teens to achieve their full potential. Proceeds from this event has allowed the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County elevate its award-winning slate of Teen Programs and provide life-changing programs to thousands of teens across Sarasota County and the surrounding area such as leadership training, service opportunities, entrepreneurial education, workforce development and college and career prep. After thoughtful consideration and input from its Board of Directors and local health officials, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County has decided to postpone the 15th Annual IPG Leadership Breakfast, which was originally scheduled to take place on September 10, 2020, to September 9, 2021. Recognition of this 15th annual event’s honorees, Archie Griffin, two-time Heisman Trophy Winner, and Lisa Bechtold, Executive Director of Take Stock in Children Sarasota, will take place in 2021. “As you can imagine, planning for such an inspiring, community-driven event during a pandemic is extremely difficult when the safety of our Club members, staff and guests is our top priority,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County. “While we are sad to not be celebrating these two incredible leaders this year, we can promise that next year’s event will inspire guests with stories of our honorees’ impact and transformational leadership.” The organization invites the community to save September 9, 2021, as the new date of the 15th Annual IPG Leadership Breakfast and join them online at Facebook.com/BGGCSC on September 10, 2020, for a special social series highlighting past IPG Leadership Breakfast honorees; showcasing the impact of its Teen Programs and sharing special message from Club members and local leaders. “Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County is committed now more than ever to continue providing our community’s next generation of leaders with the tools and resources they need to succeed,” said Sadlo. “With the long-term economic and societal impact of COVID-19 unknown, we need our community’s support to help teens succeed academically, live a healthy lifestyle and use their voice and talents to make a difference in their community.” Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 15th Annual IPG Leadership Breakfast.
