Dr. Lang has significant counseling experience that will elevate JFCS’s ability to provide outstanding clinical services to the community. “Stacy has a clear understanding of the need for trauma informed counseling in our area and she brings a strong commitment to excellence, innovation and leadership to our organization.” said JFCS CEO Arthur Lerman. Dr. Lang has extensive experience as a private practice clinician/psychotherapist and in overseeing the delivery of counseling services. She has served as the Director of Outreach and the Director of Clinical Services for non-profit organizations in both Florida and New York. She has also been a professor of social work at numerous academic institutions and has significant firsthand experience creating and managing internship programs. Dr. Lang holds a Master of Social Work from Tulane University and earned her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Denver. In addition, Dr. Lang has strong ties with, and an understanding of, the Jewish community. “My heart has always been drawn to social work, education and the Jewish community. I am excited to join JFCS and I look forward to continuing the excellence in community service JFCS is known for.” commented Dr. Lang. Dr. Lang will oversee JFCS’s counseling, aging and Jewish Healing services. She will also be responsible for JFCS’s community based mental health services that include four impactful programs: Adolescent Diversion & Assistance Program, Camp Mariposa, Challenge to Change, and the Voluntary Interim Placement-Enhanced Recovery program.
