Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation Board Expands Charles D. Hines & Captain John Walsh Join Board Contact Name: Anne Rollings Contact Email: anne.rollings@geckoshospitality.com Contact Phone Number: 9419252970 The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Charles D. Hines and Captain John Walsh to the Board of Directors. Hines, a Venice attorney, is the former Chair of the Sarasota County Commission, a Board member of the SW Florida Regional Planning Council and is active in community organizations. Captain John Walsh is a decorated 26 year veteran with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. He has served in various departments within the Sheriff’s Office including homicide investigations, criminal intelligence, operations and disaster response. The mission of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation, Inc. is to assist individual employees of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office who are experiencing extraordinary personal or family crisis. The organizers of the Foundation, which has a 501(c)3 status, recognize that despite the incalculable contribution law enforcement agents make to our quality of life, the economic protection they receive is often inadequate in the face of personal or family need. It was with challenges in mind that the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation was formed in 2014, to support our law enforcement through crisis grants during times of extraordinary hardship. Walsh and Hines join Chair Michael Quillen, Kelly Caldwell, Peter Abbot, Captain Debra Kaspar, Anne Rollings and Kim Noyes on the SCSOCF Board. The Board proudly serves on a voluntary basis and is a confidential resource of community solidarity to SSO employees in times of crisis.
