The Players Centre announces virtual auditions for 20th annual New Play Fest Contact Name: Amanda Heisey Contact Email: amandah@theplayers.org Contact Phone Number: 9413652494 Sarasota, FL – June 10, 2021 – The Players Centre for Performing Arts is thrilled to announce that virtual auditions are now open for the five competing plays in the upcoming New Play Fest, set to take place over Zoom from Aug. 9 through Aug. 13 as a finale to our 91st season. Gordon WIlson (age 40-50), Lois’s husband, a wealthy money manager. His money is financing the play. Arkadino (age 60-70), Russian émigré, speaks with a heavy or faux Russian accent, is a medium. (pronounced ar-kah-dee’-no. Long “e”) Rodney (age 25-30), Sylvie’s first husband, young and handsome, but dead. Ron/ M/30s, any race, recently promoted assistant store manager. Ruby/ F/late 30s, any race, store manager. Mike/ M/ mid 30s, any race, warehouse worker. Otis/M/mid 40s, any race, warehouse worker; has a slightly deformed left hand and slight speech impediment causing ‘Br’ to be pronounced, ‘Bw’, (Hey brother becomes hey bwotha). Dates for each individual show will be announced soon! Tickets will be $10 per show, $24 for a three-pack and $30 for a five-pack. Patrons will receive a Zoom link the day of the show/s they plan on attending.
