DutchCrafters Purchases Farm in Indiana Contact Name: Meredith Beck Contact Email: meredith@jmxbrands.com Contact Phone Number: 6159794706 DutchCrafters Amish Furniture, the largest online retailer of Amish furniture at www.dutchcrafters.com and daughter company of JMX Brands, has purchased Pletcher Farm in Howe, Ind. Sitting along State Road 9, the 30-acre parcel was once well known throughout the community for its horses, which trained on a track that still exists today. In addition to the horse track, the property includes a stable, three-bedroom house, picket fences, fields of hay, and dozens of maple trees. “The farm is just a few miles south of the toll road that connects Chicago to Detroit,” said DutchCrafters CEO Jim Miller. “I was born in Sturgis, Mich., just north of the toll road. It feels ‘near home’ to me.” The Pletcher property is also only a 10-minute drive from the current DutchCrafters warehouse and outlet store in LaGrange, Ind. Miller says the small business is in the process of determining how the property could be used for warehouse space and local retail needs, including honoring the roots of the former horse farm. “As we consider future plans for this property, we are also evaluating ways to preserve the rich history of the farm,” said Miller.
