There’s nothing like the satisfaction of helping an individual or team reach their goals and perform at their best. Nonprofit leaders are usually in a better position to influence and lead change. However, there’s a price to pay for the privilege to lead, the status, and those extra rewards and perks. Being an executive means you also have to deal with the tough issues that can cause you to lose sleep at night. This presentation will explore 10 things that are always front of mind for non-profit executives. Items such as Technology, Data, Cyber Threats, Compliance, and many more.
Brian Carter, CPA, is a partner with Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC. He received his BBA in Accounting from Mercer University in 1996 and is licensed as a CPA in Georgia and Florida. Brian has specialized in providing a variety of accounting, auditing and tax services to not-for-profit organizations, affordable housing developers, restaurants, construction contractors and manufacturing and distribution entities. Brian also consults with not-for-profit board of directors on governance and policy issues and is a frequent speaker to various trade and civic organizations on topics affecting the not-for-profit industry.
Brian is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Society of Certified Public Accountants and was a member of the Leadership Manatee Class of 2014 and Leadership Florida’s Cornerstone 38 class.
