Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s has expanded their team to better serve people with Parkinson’s Disease, their care partners and families.
The demand for Parkinson’s specific programs and services has steadily increased since the organization began in 2008. Neuro Challenge now serves more than 3,000 individuals annually. With the number of people with Parkinson’s expected to increase, the need for Parkinson's specific programs and services will as well.
Neuro Challenge has grown to meet the needs of the Parkinson’s community with the addition of Business Development Director James Lubanovich, who will focus his efforts on building new partnerships for the Neuro Challenge Network, the Parkinson’s education solution. He will also serve as the lead staff for Neuro Challenge’s signature event, The Parkinson’s Expo. James is a passionate leader within non-profit operations, community engagement, business development and event planning. James holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is a steward of creating immersive event experiences while being a fierce facilitator of important conversations. James previously worked at the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
The organization also added two new Care Advisors to the team to guide those on their journey with Parkinson’s. Yazmil Soriano is the Care Advisor for Manatee and Pinellas counties. Yazmil is bilingual and will lead the Parkinson Support Group in Spanish on the 3rd Friday of each month. Yazmil relocated from New York City where she earned her MBA in healthcare Administration while working full-time assisting patients primarily in a fast-paced emergency room during this time she honed her passion for serving those who need assistance in a compassionate manner.
Diane Conti is the Care Advisor for South Sarasota, Charlotte and Highlands counties. Diane is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and is dedicated to helping individuals and their families through their journey with neurologic conditions. Diane’s passion for serving the neuro challenged community was fueled by personal experience with her father-in-law’s traumatic brain injury and her work with medical clinics
These two professionals along with Ellen Schaller round out the Care Advising team at Neuro Challenge.
