Ear Research Foundation Resumes Preschool Screening Ear Research Foundation, has resumed their hearing screening program this month. The program has been inactive since before the pandemic Contact Name: Christina DeFrancisco Contact Email: cdefrancisco@earrf.org Contact Phone Number: 9415564219 (Sarasota, Florida, October 2021) The Ear Research Foundation team ventured out this month to two local preschools at their request to give hearing screenings to the students ages three to five years of age. The Foundation provides preschool screenings at no cost to parents/guardians or to schools. Hearing issues can often be a challenging factor during a child’s development, often going undetected. Hearing screenings for children are of high importance. Even mild hearing loss can cause problem and delays in speech, language, learning, and social skills. “Detected hearing loss at earliest stage allows for the most successful treatment,” Dr. Silverstein, founder and president of the Ear Research Foundation, indicates about the importance of preschool screenings. Anyone interested in bringing this program to a local school can contact the Foundation, or if they wish to support it so we can expand and help more children in the local area be screened, please visit our website or contact us directly.
