JFCS of the Suncoast Elects New Officers for its Board of Directors Contact Name: Melanie Hayes Contact Email: mhayes@jfcs-cares.org Contact Phone Number: 941-529-6853 SARASOTA, FL – (November 12, 2021) JFCS of the Suncoast, one of the Florida Suncoast’s preeminent mental health counseling and health and human services providers, is pleased to announce the election of the 2021-2022 officers of its Board of Directors: Kathleen Roberts (Board Chair), Dean Miller (Vice Board Chair), Jim Naber (Treasurer) and Johanna Gustafsson (Secretary). In addition to serving on the JFCS Board of Directors, each officer has served in other governance and leadership capacities for the betterment of the community. Read the bios below to learn more about each officer. Kathleen Roberts (Board Chair): Prior to serving on the JFCS Board of Directors, Kathleen Roberts was a Board member for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for nine years. She served as the Board Chair for two years, the Government Committee Chair for four years and as a volunteer consultant and Co-Chair for the nonprofit compensation and benefit survey for three years. She is the former Senior Vice President of Human Resources Management for the Federated Department Stores, where she enjoyed a 25-year career. Kathie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in marketing from Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, FL). Dean Miller (Vice Board Chair): Dean Miller served as the Board Chair of the JFCS Board of Directors for five years. Previously, Dean enjoyed an extensive 35-year career as a senior leader in the financial services industry. He is also a New York state certified public accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction in American history and English from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA) and a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA). Jim Naber (Treasurer): Jim Naber is a former Board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Apple Financial Holdings. Professionally, he was a managing partner for CohenReznick LLP (Boston, MA) and the senior vice president and chief audit executive for the Wilmington Trust Corporation (Wilmington, DE). Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College (Providence, RI) and a Master of Science in tax law from Bryant College (Smithfield, RI). Johanna Gustafsson (Secretary): Johanna Gustafsson is a senior vice president of wealth management at Merrill Lynch and a senior partner at The Gustafsson Pinckney Group Wealth Management Group. She previously served on the Board of Girls Inc. and the Forty Carrots Family Center Advisory Council. Johanna holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in finance and economics from the University of South Florida (Tampa, FL) and a Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification.
