Chef Paul has crafted a 5-course menu that perfectly complements the wines in the Fess Parker portfolio. Price is $125++. The event will be held at Mattison’s Forty-One in the private Galleria. Reservations are required by calling 941-921-3400. The wine dinner is part of the Forks and Corks Food and Wine Festival. The evening will begin with a welcome reception followed by the 5-course wine dinner. Fess Parker’s portrayal of frontiersman, Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone during the 1950’s and 1060’s garnered him a legion of adoring fans spanning many generations. When Fess Parker purchased the 714-acre Foxen Canyon Ranch in 1988, he planned to run cattle, plant a few acres of vineyard, and perhaps, someday, establish a small winery. His dream was to start a family business that he could pass on to future generations. Today the Fess Parker Winery is a 30+ year family owned and operated winery, ranch, farm, and brewery.
