Take Stock in Children of Sarasota County is proud to continue their community partnership with the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund. A new $15,000 grant awarded by the Foundation will support powerful college readiness and mentor programming for economically disadvantaged students to transform their college dreams into reality. Take Stock in Children has a 27-year history of proven student success by providing scholarships, mentors, and college success coaching which includes one-to-one advising, college readiness workshops, ACT/SAT preparation, and financial aid assistance. Student support services continue after high school through postsecondary degree/certification attainment ensuring students are workforce ready. “The Rays have been a phenomenal partner with Take Stock in Children for 10 years” commented Take Stock in Children Executive Director Lisa Bechtold. “We are honored and so grateful for their unwavering support of our program.” The community partnership with the Rays also includes a celebration at a Rays home game with a recognition of our partnership to bring awareness to the mission of Take Stock in Children.
