Meals on Wheels of Sarasota Receives $10,000 grant from Masala Giving Circle Contact Name: Rhonda Leiberick Contact Email: r.leiberick@mowsrq.org Contact Phone Number: 9412206036 Sarasota, Fla – Meals on Wheels of Sarasota recently received a $10,000 grant from the Masala Giving Circle to provide freshly prepared meals to African Americans in northern Sarasota. Our More Than A Meal program reduces malnutrition, loneliness, and enables residents to remain independent in their home. Volunteers provide daily interaction and socialization that improves overall mental health. “We are grateful for the support from Masala Giving Circle to help our most vulnerable residents. Monday-Friday, volunteers deliver 700 freshly prepared meals to deserving residents, without our program, many would not eat that day,” says executive director, Rhonda Leiberick. Masala is a delicious blend of spices—the whole of which is richer and more amazing than the sum of its aromatic parts. We are a diverse group of African-American women with a common passion for giving back, helping others, and creating positive change in the African-American communities of Sarasota and Manatee counties. By pooling our resources, we enable our members to achieve a significant impact with their charitable giving than they might achieve on their own. Learn more at https://www.masalagivingcircle.org/
