Funding for this project is provided by the Edward K. Roberts Emerging Needs Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Big impacts are being made on small nonprofits when the Community Foundation gets involved. The new cloud-based donor database will allow Parkinson Place to better track giving and communication with their donors and members. “We are moving from spreadsheets and manually entering gift information to the DonorPerfect CRM software to help us grow our fundraising program,” said Suzanne Hudson-Smith, CFRE, the new Development Director at Parkinson Place. “We are so thankful the Community Foundation has funds specifically available to assist nonprofits build the capacity to grow our organization and serve more people.” Though a young nonprofit, Parkinson Place Center has been serving all people with movement disorders for 10 years out of a 9,000 sq. ft. facility located at Cattlemen Road and Bee Ridge Road (6959 Cattleridge Blvd.), providing its members with over 80 fitness/mobility classes and educational programs a month at no cost.
