Held at Elevation Preparatory Academy, the event fostered connections and created cherished memories for all attendees. The Daddy-Daughter Dance offered a magical evening filled with music, dancing, and quality time together. Open to the public and free of charge, the event attracted about 125 participants, including 45 fathers and 4 mothers, many of whom were new to Ignite and JFCS. The dance floor buzzed with laughter and joy as fathers twirled their daughters under shimmering lights. One daughter exclaimed, "My dad loved me so much he surprised me by bringing me here tonight... now you know he loves me!" The girls enjoyed nail painting, face painting, and delicious treats, including cakes generously donated by Nothing Bundt Cakes. A father shared, "This is all my daughter has been talking about, and I never thought I would have so much fun dancing with my daughter!" Such sentiments highlight the event's profound impact on strengthening familial bonds and creating lasting memories. The event’s success was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Ignite staff, volunteers, and community partners. Ten Ignite staff members, along with JFCS CEO Helene Lotman, JFCS Vice President of Operations Lucia Branton, and 21 volunteers from JFCS and Elevation Preparatory Academy, contributed their time and energy to create an unforgettable evening. The event also received generous support from various businesses and individuals whose contributions made for a magical evening. "The success of our first annual Daddy-Daughter Dance is a testament to the power of community and the importance of fostering strong family bonds,” said Gina Sauer, Ignite Program Director. “Seeing the joy on the faces of both fathers and daughters was incredibly heartwarming. We are committed to creating more opportunities like this to support and strengthen the relationships that form the foundation of healthy families.”
