The Rotary Club of Sarasota is a fellowship of ethical business and professional people, united as people of action and dedicated to making a difference through our hands-on service, leadership in the community, and philanthropic giving. We support each other in business, have fun together, and work to make our community and the world a better place.

The Rotary Club of Sarasota was chartered by the Rotary Club of Fort Myers, Orlando and Punta Gorda in 1926. Over the past 100 years, through our commitment to integrity and service, our focus on nurturing the next generation, our love of the region's history and its people, and our belief in its potential, we have helped Sarasota grow into a thriving, caring community. Our charitable arm, the Rotary Club of Sarasota Foundation, provides financial support for many nonprofit organizations in the area, as well as our own local and international projects.

Our club is a member of Rotary International, which has over 1.2 million members and 35,000+ clubs worldwide. Working with other Rotary Clubs in other countries through the Rotary Foundation, we improve the lives of mothers and children, fight disease, foster education, grow local economies, and promote peace; our polio eradication effort has seen a 99.99% reduction in polio cases since 1988. But most important, we build friendships both locally and internationally, laying the foundations of peace and good will around the world.
