Job Summary
Oversees the administrative functions for Workforce Development and represents the Workforce Development area. Maintains and administers all functions related to the successful operation of the department.
Annual salary will be up to a maximum of $45,000.00.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:
• Provides leadership and supervision for assigned instructional programs in Workforce Development, including reserving and preparing facilities, preparing required materials, creating classes, assisting registrants, providing a roster, recording grades, and prepares contracts, as required.
• Assists with recruitment, selection, training, and retention/promotion of a diverse staff. Views applications of prospective instructors and recommends to Director those with the appropriate qualifications.
• Prepares purchase orders and encumbrances, processes invoices, tracks deposits, prepares change orders, and other financial functions. Provides administrative support to the Director for developing and organizing Workforce Development programs including, but not limited to, conducting research, preparing reports, preparing client/instructor agreements, update contract training spreadsheet/whiteboard, etc.
• Reads and routes correspondence. Composes and processes routine correspondence and e-mail. Organizes file system (including confidential material), and files correspondence and other records. Provides other administrative support as required.
• Answers and screens telephone calls, arranges conference calls, coordinates schedules, makes appointments, and makes travel arrangements for the department.
• Conducts research and compiles and prepares various analytical and descriptive reports.
• Coordinates and arranges meetings, reserves, and prepares facilities, and prepares agendas and required materials.
• Organizes, maintains, and orders supplies and receives merchandise. Arranges for equipment maintenance.
• Provides input to budget planning and monitors budget for delegated areas.
• Designs, creates, and executes analytic programs and/or surveys to assist division in data collection for program review activities, providing data necessary to evaluate program effectiveness, value, and student success.
• Proctors industry certifications, as required.
• Contributes to all marketing and recruitment activities as it relates to Workforce Development within the College.
• Performs other related tasks to meet department and job-specific requirements.
Job Qualifications

• Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) or more years' related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Supervisory Experience:
No supervisory experience required.
• Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of word processing software, intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets, Internet, email, and database software. Proficiency in the use of current College email and database software essential.
