Job Summary
This position is the registrar for grades 6-10 and dual enrolled students. This position is also a testing coordinator for formal student exams. The registrar facilitates student enrollment, record keeping and storage in compliance with federal, state and local guidelines for the charter's students, capped at 540 seats. This position assists with the graduation requirements for dual enrolled students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:
1. Maintains, monitors and manages an accurate K-12 and college student database according to federal and state laws and district policies and procedures.
2. Coordinates with teachers, college advisor and administration regarding student grades and ensures transcripts and all student data are accurate.
3. Manages the student enrollment process.
4. Builds the master schedule and completes student schedules for 6th-10th grade.
5. Maintains confidentiality of information required by the State of Florida's FERPA laws.
6. Coordinates the administration of all statewide assessments for middle school, high school and SCF.
7. Attends training and collaboration with Manatee County School district.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications

• Education/Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent; and one to two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with college course equivalencies and degree completion requirements preferred.
• Supervisory Experience:One or more years of experience as a "lead" employee, with responsibility for training teachers in test security and administration, and assisting others with problems as required.
• Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Math Ability:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram/chart form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete changes in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills:The employee must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software; must have a basic knowledge of web design software; must be able to use College required database software.

• Internal Contacts:This position has frequent contact with SCF faculty, staff, and students.
• External Contacts:This position has frequent contact with the general public, high school employees, potential students, vendors, and other colleges and universities.
