Curry Cares Opens Nominations

SARASOTA, FL — Curry Cares is now accepting nominations for the Fall 2026 Free Roof Giveaway, giving residents in Sarasota or Manatee the opportunity to recognize a homeowner who has fallen on hard times and could benefit from a safe, secure roof.

The nomination period is now open and will remain open through August, 15th at CurryCares.com.

Created by Roofing by Curry, Curry Cares is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making a positive impact in the community by helping homeowners facing financial hardship. Since launching the program, Curry Cares has provided a few dozen roofs free of cost to deserving local families.

"We know there are incredible people in our community who have spent their lives helping others but now find themselves needing a helping hand," said Jesse Curry, Vice President of Roofing by Curry. "This program allows our community to come together and recognize those individuals."

Community members are encouraged to nominate homeowners who:

• Are experiencing financial hardship

• Own and occupy their home

• Live within Curry Cares' service area

• Have a roof in need of replacement

• Demonstrate a story of perseverance, service, or need

After nominations close, finalists will be selected based on eligibility and need. The public will then have the opportunity to vote for the recipient online before one homeowner is chosen to receive a roof at no cost.

"This isn't just about replacing a roof," Curry said. "It's about giving someone peace of mind, restoring hope, and reminding people that our community cares."
