J5 Experience Awarded $6,250 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to support Capacity Building Grant.


Grant will strengthen evaluation, leadership, and fundraising systems to support long-term organizational sustainability


Sarasota, FL – J5 Experience, Inc., a Sarasota-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering mothers and daughters through education, mentorship, and financial literacy, has been awarded a $6,250 Capacity Building Grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Funding for this project is provided by the Cyril and Dorothy Veinott Memorial Fund II, the Joseph F. Irace and Barbara A. Irace Fund II and the George J. & Alice Pugh Donor Advised Fund at the Community Foundation This funding will support J5 Experience’s efforts to strengthen its internal infrastructure by enhancing

data collection, evaluation, leadership, and fundraising systems. Through this investment, J5 will improve its ability to measure impact, communicate outcomes to stakeholders, and make data-informed decisions that support long-term growth and organizational sustainability. “Capacity building is essential to ensuring our programs remain strong, responsive, and impactful,” said Sherry D. Martin, Founder and Executive Director of J5 Experience. “This grant allows us to strengthen the systems behind the scenes so we can better serve families, tell our story with clarity, and position J5 for continued growth in Sarasota County.” The project focuses on building a centralized evaluation framework that will improve tracking, analysis, and reporting across J5’s core programs, including the Girls Achievement Program (G.A.P.), Mommy & Me!, and Money Matters. Strengthened systems will also enhance staff and board capacity, donor reporting, and readiness for future funding opportunities.
