SARASOTA, Fla. — September 3, 2026 — Music Compound recently hosted its annual Music Compound Awards, known as the MCAs, bringing together 29 of its 32 team members for an evening dedicated to celebrating growth, connection and the people behind the student experience. 

The celebration opened by giving every team member an opportunity to share a personal or professional milestone from the past year. Reflections included the growth of Music Compound programs, memorable student performances, promotions, engagements, meaningful travel, attending a music education conference and one family member’s incredible victory over cancer.

“These milestones reminded us that our team members are more than the roles they fill at Music Compound,” said Music Compound founder Jenny Townsend. “Every person brings a story, a purpose and unique experiences that shape the way our students and families feel when they walk through our doors.”

The evening’s theme, “The Power of the Experience,” challenged the team to consider how Music Compound can “Disney-fy” its operations by making each interaction more intentional, memorable and personal. The team explored ways to enhance the member journey and ensure every student and family feels seen, heard and valued.

Guest speaker Genesis Hey Krick encouraged team members to recognize the coach within themselves. She spoke about the powerful influence teachers and mentors have on the Music Compound experience, as well as the lasting impact they can make on a student’s confidence, self-belief and view of what is possible.

“Teaching music is only part of what our coaches do,” Townsend said. “The words they use, the opportunities they create and the belief they place in a student can shape that student’s identity for years to come.”

The celebration concluded with the presentation of the 2026 Music Compound Awards:

• Summer Camp All-Star: Luc Drage

• Most Valuable Player: Taylor Galford

Each winner was recognized for demonstrating Music Compound’s mission to Inspire, Collaborate and Educate, while taking ownership of the programs and experiences that help students grow as musicians and individuals.

“Our annual MCAs give us the opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate the people who bring our mission to life,” Townsend added. “We are incredibly proud of our Dream Team and the impact they continue to make on our students, families and community.”
