Curry Cares is a community-focused charitable initiative by Roofing by Curry, based in Sarasota, Florida. The program is designed to provide high-quality, free roof replacements to local families and individuals facing significant financial or personal hardships.

How the Program Works

Originally inspired by the "No Roof Left Behind" initiative, following its closure, Roofing by Curry launched Curry Cares as its own independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit to ensure that neighbors in need have a safe, dry home.

1. Nomination-Based: Community members can nominate themselves, a friend, or a neighbor who is struggling.

2. Selection Process: A committee narrows the nominations down to four finalists based on the urgency of the repair and the nominee's personal story.

3. Community Voting: The public then votes on the finalists via the CurryCares.com, and the nominee with the most votes receives a brand-new roof at no cost.

4. Frequency: The program typically runs twice a year, with nomination cycles occurring from Winter to Spring and Summer to Fall.

Eligibility & Impact

To qualify, the home must be the nominee's primary residence mut be in Sarasota or Manatee County, and they must be current on their mortgage and property taxes. Since its inception, the program has provided dozens of free roofs, often partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity Sarasota to identify vulnerable homeowners, such as seniors on fixed incomes or those with disabilities.

The project is fueled by the company’s "Why Worry" philosophy, and fulfilling their company's mission  to make a positive impact on their customers, their team members and their community!
