Osprey, FL — Rosy’s Ice Cream, a new family-owned destination for premium old-fashioned ice cream at 1270 S. Tamiami Trail, invites the community to a special afternoon celebrating local art, creativity, and community spirit from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

This free community gathering marks the official celebration of the shop's vibrant new mural created by local artist Josselyn Egas-Ryan, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy live music, lite bites, Florida-made ice cream, and a chance to meet the artist behind the brushstrokes that bring the mural to life.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate not only this beautiful mural, but also the creativity and connection that makes this community so special,” said Rosy’s Ice Cream founder Enid Bryant. “This event is a way for neighbors, friends, and visitors to come together and soak in our amazing local talent.”

The mural brings Rosy, our beloved mascot inspired by the iconic Florida coastal wading bird, the Roseate Spoonbill, to life in vivid color and detail.

Created by artist Josselyn Egas-Ryan, the artwork captures Rosy’s elegance, personality, and playful spirit while celebrating the natural beauty of Florida’s Gulf Coast. More than a visual centerpiece, the mural reflects Rosy’s role as a symbol of joy, community, and the local environment that inspires everything we do at Rosy’s Ice Cream.
