On Thursday, September 24, Suncoast House will host "Effective Communication with People with Cognitive Challenges," a free educational presentation and Q&A from Still Alive Inside - the organization built around one guiding idea: see the person, always.

The session runs from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Suncoast House, 3221 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, and is open to the entire community. Family caregivers, adult children, neighbors, and care professionals are all welcome.

Attendees will leave with practical tools they can use the very same day, including how to manage communication challenges and navigate difficult conversations with confidence; how to reduce stress and repetition for caregiver and loved one alike; the power of patience and slowing down to truly listen; and simple everyday habits that keep connection alive. Time for open Q&A is included.
