SARASOTA, Fla. — Suncoast East, a Suncoast Senior Living community, held "Today's Hospice: The Myths & The Realities" on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

The community education event featured Karen Novak, RN, MS, CDP, Professional Relations Liaison with Empath Health, who led an open conversation addressing common misconceptions about hospice care. Attendees learned what hospice services actually provide and when they can benefit patients and families, with time set aside for questions afterward.
